Today, both in Russia and abroad, there is an active search for new sustainable sources of protein.
It happens so that one of sources is a common fly. Hermetia illucens or Black Soldier Fly.
The entire life cycle of this insect can be used as valuable biomaterials for various industries: from feed saturated with high-quality protein and microelements for all types of animals and highly effective biofertilizer for cultivation of berries, vegetables and fruits, to cosmetology and pharmacology.

In addition, Black Soldier Fly is also a modern, environmentally friendly way to carry out complete and zero-waste recycling. The need for it is rapidly increasing every year in both the food and agricultural industries, and also recycling allows enterprises to reduce their costs on environmental payments significantly.
ECO BSF
In January 2021, Alexander Kolosov launched the ECO BSF, a unique environmental project for the Russian market, which by 2022 will become a fully automated production facility for the cultivation of BSF larvae and their derivatives, applying artificial intelligence technology for maximum optimization of each part of the business process.

Today, the insectarium is working in test mode. The project is planned to be brought to an industrial level with a production volume of final products of 9 tons per month by November 2021.
